OpenID Foundation members are electing all 7 of the community board members. (I currently hold one of these seats, and I'm running for re-election.) Nominations started last week and will go on for another week, followed by the actual elections.

In spite of the US Thanksgiving week, already 12 individuals have been nominated, with another week to go for nominations. That's great participation!

Some were thinking that there would only be marginally more candidates than available seats. I always disagreed. Many people feel passionate about OpenID and not everybody feels that the current board has performed that well, so they run.

More power to you all! That's how it is supposed to work!
